Tea drinking originated in China, possibly as early as 2737BC, before spreading around the rest of the world. So if you want to learn more about one of the world’s most popular drinks, China is definitely the place to be. On this unique tour you’ll visit Dragon Well Tea Village, a scenic location where stand 18 tea bushes that were planted in the Qing Dynasty. The tea leaves from these bushes are reputed to fetch more money per gram than even gold! Some of China’s best green tea originates from here.
Next you’ll travel to the pretty Meijiawu Tea Village, where Dragon tea, one of the country’s finest and best-known teas is produced. Here you’ll meet some of the workers, pick up some tips on how to pick and dry tea leaves and maybe even try your hand at this skilful art yourself. Plus of course you’ll be able to relax with a special cup of green tea, that goes without saying!
